Research Seminar: 21 April 2015, John Hughes on Dylan, Boty, and 1960s Pop

Professor John Hughes (University of Gloucestershire) will be presenting his paper, ‘The Only Blonde in the World’: Pauline Boty and Dylan’s First London Visit, at 5:30 pm, Tuesday 21 April 2015. The seminar will take place at the City Campus of the University of Wolverhampton in MA133.

About the Speaker:

HughesJohn Hughes’s primary research and teaching interests are in literary theory, Hardy, Wordsworth, the relationship between philosophical and literary writings, and the nineteenth century. His publications include Lines of Flight (Sheffield Academic Press, 1997), ‘Ecstatic Sound’: Music and Individuality in the work of Thomas Hardy (Ashgate 2001), Affective Worlds: Writing, Feeling & Nineteenth-Century Literature (Sussex, 2011), ‘Invisible Now’: Bob Dylan in the 1960s (Ashgate 2013), and a wide range of other publications on literary and philosophical topics.
